A Few Things You Should Know about Compatible Toner Cartridges...
- The typical toner cartridge can be remanufactured up to four times. Up to 97 percent of the components can be reused.
- Remanufacturing helps to keep more than 42,000 tons of plastic, metal and toner out of the waste stream.
- A used cartridge is made of approximately two and half pounds of industrial grade plastic, and does not begin to degrade for at least 10 centuries, or 1,000 years.
- According to the EPA, compatible toner cartridges is the highest form of recycling as it requires the least amount of energy to make a product ready for reuse.
- Compatible toner cartridges cost substantially less than new OEM cartridges. This means switching to compatible toner could have an immediate savings impact.
ALT is a major contributor to Shoes & Clothes for Kids, a non-profit organization that provides children with new shoes and basic clothing. For every cartridge you recycle, ALT will make a donation to this valuable cause.
